Kevin's and Robyn's Wedding

So fun to get to do these flowers for Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
And she doesn't even have to change her last name!
Loved doing these flowers for their Winter Wonderland wedding.
Navy and silver are so striking together.  Beautiful!
And the bride looked beautiful, too.
(Hopefully I can get some pictures of the happy couple.)
Congratulations to the two love birds!

Jaden's and Eliza's Wedding

So, our second oldest was our first to get married!
Jaden married his best friend and high school sweetheart, Eliza.
Can't believe I'm old enough to have a child married,
but looking at the gray hair, I guess I am!
It was a beautiful December day, and I don't think
things could have been more perfect.
Love you two!  Thanks for entrusting me to do your flowers.

Taylor's and Kristen's Wedding

I have to admit, I wasn't sure what I thought of coral pink and yellow together,
but I thought these flowers turned out so darling.
I'm a huge fan of the Amsterdam coral roses.  They've been beautiful everytime
I've bought them.  I hope the bride and groom were pleased as well,
and I wish them a very happy life together!

Brexton's and Toni's Wedding

So...I realized that I didn't get a picture of the bridal bouquet for this wedding!
I'll have to see if I can get a couple from the bride.
I loved the colors of this wedding.  Blush and burgundy are so pretty together.
I hope the bride was happy with her bouquet and all of the flowers!
Congratulations to Brexton and Toni.

Brexton's and Toni's Bridals

Did this cute bouquet for a bride yesterday!
The burgundy dahlias were stunning!
The bride even sent me a little note to thank me for the bouquet,
and said her mother loved it, too!
Glad they were pleased!

Flowers for Uncle Lyneer

My Uncle Lyneer passed away a couple of weeks ago.
He's not been well for a couple of years, and he'd lived a good, long life...
91 years and five days.
He was always so friendly and always had a smile on his face!
When doing flowers, I thought of my Aunt Ilene.
I wanted to do something that she could keep in her home for a few days,
and I associate anything feminine with Aunt Ilene,
so soft pinks and peaches are what I was looking for.
I saw the coral roses and thought they were beautiful!
I hope Aunt Ilene felt of our love for her
and that she was able to enjoy these flowers for a little while.

Sympathy Flowers for Marvel

My sister-in-law's mother passed away last week, and she called and asked me if I
thought I could arrange some flowers coming out of a pair of her mother's shoes.
I have never done anything like this, so was a bit nervous,
but I thought they turned out pretty.  In fact, as I filled these shoes
with flowers, an idea for a poem came to mind.
I started writing it last night.  Maybe I'll get it finished and post it.

My parents also asked me to arrange some flowers as a gift from us.
I love the pink "Ballet" roses.  They're bright and cheery,
and one of my favorite pink roses.
I hope the family feels of our love for them!
Marvel was a wonderful lady.

Bryson's and Kaylie's Wedding

Got to do these sweet flowers for a sweet couple!
The pictures do not do the bouquet justice.
The pink Gerbera daisies were striking against the white roses.
I thought it turned out to be a beautiful bouquet, and Bryson and Kaylie looked great!
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Flowers for Rita

I was asked by the grand-daughters of a very dear lady who passed
away if I could make some corsages and boutonnieres for her
children and their spouses that they could wear on the day of her funeral.
The family sent a picture of the casket spray, and the carnations
in that photo looked to be more of a hot pink.  I could not found
a hot pink carnation, and bought the only pink carnations I could find.
Well, when I saw the casket spray, they had used the same carnation I had found!
I love it when things like that happen.  I felt it was a bit of a tender mercy.
It would not have mattered if the carnations didn't match, but it was just
something that made me happy since I can be a little bit of a perfectionist
when it comes to matching!  I felt very privileged to have been asked
to do these flowers.  Rita was a wonderful woman who
set a wonderful example for so many!

Flowers for Arlene

A dear neighbor passed away last week.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
May God continue to bless her family.
